Rev. Amanda Lunemann

Lead Pastor

Amanda has been pastorally serving in ministry since her early twenties. She was raised as a country girl but loves the urban life and the experiences gained while traveling all over the world. She finds people, science, and the mystery of the spiritual path fascinating. Her love of cooking, theater, the arts, and physical fitness she sees as just extensions of her ministry in the world and community. She lives with her partner Logan, teenage daughter Norah, and Felix the cat.

Amelia Halsted

Board Leader & Tech Lead

Amelia first came to Grace UMC on a snowy December day several years ago, which happened to be Christmas Pageant Sunday, and she’s been hooked ever since. She has a passion for aviation and enjoys her day job as an aviation sales manager, which sometimes sends her to exciting places around the world. When she’s not volunteering at Grace UMC or the Minnesota Aviation Hall of Fame, she can usually be found driving her boys to activities or planning her son’s next lacrosse tournament trip. She lives in Lakeville with her husband Brian and two boys.  They enjoy traveling and spending time on our beautiful Minnesota lakes together.

Marty Alterman

Board Leader & Admin Support

Marty grew up in New York City in a Jewish family and met and married a Catholic woman from Iowa, named Mary. They have two adult children who are their pride and joy. Marty is currently retired after a career as a Computer Programmer and senior IT resource - the last 24 years of which were spent at Ameriprise Financial in the Twin Cities.

Robert Timmerman

Board Leader & Staff-Church Relations Chair

Robert, Toni, Samuel, and Teddy joined Grace in 2015. As a family, they enjoy volunteering for church, city, and other charitable organization activities. Robert is a manager at MnDOT, Planning Commissioner for the City of Burnsville, and Rotarian. The Timmermans enjoy traveling and spending time at their family cabin.

Toni Timmerman

Children’s Spiritual Formation

Toni lives in Burnsville with her husband, Robert, and two sons. She loves spending time with family and friends, attending Twins games, watching her boys sports games, practicing yoga, and finding ways to be creative. Toni has worked for the State of MN at the Department of Revenue for 18 years helping educate taxpayers, ensuring systems work, and supervising staff.

Doris Marek

Board Leader & Finance & Treasurer

Doris has been a Real Estate Property Accountant for over 34 years and is looking forward to retirement at the end of October 2022. She has been actively involved in the church and has been the Treasurer for over 30 years. She enjoys reading, working in the yard and being involved with her two grandchildren. She and her husband Tom have one adult child, Judy.

Varina Timothy

Ray Walker

Ray came to Grace in 2015 and has served in numerous capacities since retiring from 40 years in the pharmaceutical world involved in business and product development.
 He was Trustees Chair, Admin Board member, was active in the Overlook land sale and construction liaison process, was Lay Delegate to Annual Conference and other assorted roles. 
 He and his wife Ardith moved here from Rochester MN and were past members of River Hills UMC and Rosemount UMC.
 Ray and Ardith have 2 grown daughters and 4 fun and active grandchildren to help keep them busy.
 In his free time, he dabbles with writing projects, puzzles, using their pontoon when at their daughter's lake cabin in Wisconsin and has traveled widely with Ardith on numerous trips in and out of the country.
 He is a Minnesota sports fan, and they enjoy watching their grandkids sports activities in hockey and volleyball.
 Never a dull moment!

Joel Hartle

Tech Lead

Joel has been at Grace since 1996 serving on multiple committees and the Adult Choir. His hometown is Owatonna MN, but he is a long-time resident of Lakeville and is married with 3 kids. After retiring as an Army officer, he has enjoyed carriers in Technology and Supply Chain. Joel is a Minnesota sports fan, likes to barbecue on the Green Egg, play golf and rides his Indian Chieftain motorcycle when possible.

Paige Macklin

Choir Director

Paige was an elementary vocal music teacher for 36 years and has directed the Grace Choir for 42 years as well as directing children’s music at Grace. In retirement I have also been directing Classic Voices, a senior group of singers. I live in Lakeville with my husband of 55 years, Bill Macklin. We enjoy travel, our lake home and our 4 grandchildren.


Roy Koenigsgburg

Children’s Spiritual Formation & Board Leader

Roy works in sports media, covering high school and college teams in southern MN and is a big hockey fan. When he has free time, he runs. He especially enjoys running with his wife and kids and on wooded trails. He and his wife Chris have two adult children Cynthia and Aaron.

Valerie Webber

Board Secretary

Valerie joined the Grace family in 2001 and has held many roles, including Charter Organization Rep for the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts (and was the mastermind behind the annual Chili Cookoff!) She is an Electrical Engineer turned Project Manager in the aerospace industry. Her two grown sons live in the area. She loves all snow sports and she moonlights at the Buck Hill ski school. Her favorite pastime is watching red foxes raise their kits from a den under her shed.
